Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The mission concentrates on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
